When Koen and I travel, choosing where to eat is very important to us. So of course we first wanted to eat at Tickets, but soon realized the impossibility of a reservation. We settled for the next best thing – lunch at Bodega 1900, one of the concept restaurants by Albert and Ferran Adrià (of El Bulli fame).
To quote Bodega 1900’s website:
Bodegas, a tradition of culture and heritage in our neighbourhoods. In recent years they have re-emerged from apparent decline to recover and reinvigorate the healthy habit of “anar a fer el Vermut” (meeting for a drink and small tapas), a sign of identity in Catalan and Spanish culture.
The gastronomic offer is Albert Adria’s vision of the world of vermouth and a nod to traditional vermuterias in order to maintain their essence.
We reviewed the past and we prepare traditional recipes seen from today’s perspective.
